With this development, unmanned aerial vehicles began flying over the city of Sheikh Zuwayid. Ambulances for a limited number of wounded Palestinians have been able to go through the Rafah crossing and over three hundred foreign passport holders were allowed to leave. The Jabalia refugee camp has been hit by airstrikes for a second day in a row.
The exact toll from yesterday’s attack is unknown but a local hospital director said hundreds of people were killed or wounded and Israel claims dozens of Hamas militants died. November 14, 2023 – ABC News’ Matt Gutman embeds with Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza City who claim Hamas is operating near or under hospitals and has held hostages there.
November 15, 2023 – GAZA – The IDF stormed Gaza’s al-Shifa hospital in search of a Hamas base. Video showed elite troops carrying out a ’targeted attack’ on the site which is the largest hospital in Gaza, sheltering hundreds of people. Hamas’s main base is thought to be located in tunnels underneath it. Separately, Shayetet 13 special forces and other IDF troops cleared al-Rantisi hospital, which is located just a few streets away from al-Shifa. They showed how Hamas had constructed a based under the center which was filled with explosives, weapons and ammunition. There was also evidence of people being held underground as the IDF searches for 240 hostages taken by Hamas on Oct 7.

The IDF claimed that the hospital had been used as a Hamas command center under the watch of Mohammed Abu Selmia, who has been taken for interrogation.
