Bleed the way

Today, November 2, 2020, it is my honor to donate blood at the LifeStream Blood Bank.

The last time I gave blood, two months ago, I received an email, saying that my blood was given to someone in Orange County, California.

I have never before received an email like that, saying where my blood was used. I wish I could have been there, to comfort the person who needed it at the time.

To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world.

Bleed the way. Bleed by example. Thank you, Lord.

. . . and then, just a day later . . .

Today, I just received an email from LifeStream Blood Bank, about the blood I donated on Monday.

LifeStream tells me that my blood was sent to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in the Willowbrook neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. I am so happy and grateful to know this.
