Joshua’s Altar

The Heart of the Matter: Joshua’s Altar and proof of the Israeli narrative

August 15, 2023 – Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish people, but Judea and Samaria are their birthplace. This is where our forefathers walked, this is where the People of Israel arrived following their long years of slavery in Egypt, and here, on Mount Ebal, an archaeological finding was discovered which proves our story. Brig. Gen. (Res.) Amir Avivi, CEO and founder of the Israel’s Defense and Security Forum (IDSF), arrived at Mount Ebal with Boaz HaEtzni, VIP tour coordinator for the Samaria Regional Council, in order to expose what happened on Mount Ebal thousands of years ago, as well as the absurd current situation which needs to change.

The Discovery of Joshua’s Altar

June 5, 2023 – The Bible relates that shortly after entering the Promised Land, Joshua built an altar upon Mount Ebal overlooking the ancient city of Shechem. Excavations in the early 1980s, led by the late Prof. Adam Zertal, discovered a prominent early altar site on Mount Ebal. One man who helped identify the site as an altar was Zvi Koenisgberg. On today’s program, host Brent Nagtegaal speaks with Mr. Koenigsberg about the 30-year saga to acknowledge the Mount Ebal altar and, more generally, about scholarship in the world of biblical archaeology.

Unraveling Revelation: Joshua’s Altar and the Temple Mount

October 10, 2022 – Walking in the footsteps of Abraham, Joshua, David, and Jesus. Our 2019 tour of Israel took us from Joshua’s altar, site of the recent discovery of an ancient curse tablet written in archaic Hebrew at a time when the Israelites weren’t supposed to be in the land of Canaan, to the Mount of Olives and the Temple Mount. Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat showed us the historic locations of the crucifixion and burial tomb of Jesus on the Mount of Olives, while our visit to the Temple Mount was interrupted by angry ravens.

Discovery at Joshua’s Altar | Shabbat Night Live

September 16, 2022 – To the casual Bible reader, the story of the Exodus seems straightforward. But to serious students, there are dead ends and gaps in the narrative that leave us with unanswered questions. Israeli resident and tour operator Aaron Lipkin embarked on a mission to solve the mysteries of the Exodus — but he had no idea where his curiosity would lead him! Hear, in his own words, why this ONE discovery may change archaeology forever!

Exploring Joshua’s altar in Israel

August 5, 2022 – Is it possible that Joshua’s altar (Joshua 8:30-35) is still on Mount Ebal in Israel? In the 1980s, Israeli archaeologist Adam Zertal discovered and excavated a stone altar that he identified as Joshua’s altar. However, many have discounted his assessment, and one of their main arguments is the altar’s location. Does the Bible contradict Zertal’s interpretation?

Earthshaking Find? Joshua’s Altar and the Curse Tablet found at Mt Ebal

June 6, 2022 – Curse Tablet Found at Mt Ebal – Joshua’s Altar, where excavation began in 1982, but not until now has its report been created. Kosher animal bones, the same design as the Second Temple Altar, and the right time period all denote the authenticity of the large altar structure found in the exact right place on Mt. Ebal.

Now, just recently, a lead “Curse Tablet” has been found at the altar made of lead and engraved with the curse language of Joshua 8. And it’s in Hebrew! And it mentions YHW (Jehovah), If authentic, this find could turn Biblical Scholarship on its head. It means the Israelites were a separate people from the Canaanites and provides archeological evidence for the Exodus.

Joshua’s Altar Vandalized

February 17, 2021 – When the Palestinians needed gravel to build a new road on Mt Ebal, they took stones from Joshua’s Altar and crushed them. This is yet another attempt to erase the Jewish people from the land of Israel. The Palestinian Authority is holding elections twelve years too late. Will Hamas win, and take over the government? Would that spell danger for Israel?

When an Arab Member of Knesset called a terrorist a terrorist, he got called out by the Palestinian Authority. They insisted that terrorists (aka murderers) are heroes and they hold the key to liberating Jerusalem from Israel’s hands. In the meantime, the Jewish National Fund has decided to start purchasing land in Judea and Samaria!

Game-changing Discovery at Site of Joshua’s Altar

February 16, 2022 – Aaron Lipkin is back to tell us about a game-changing discovery in the debate about the reliability of the Bible is the lead tablet that was recently uncovered from dump remains from the Joshua’s Altar site. They found writing! Special photographic specialties conducted by a lab in Prague, Czech Republic reveal ancient Hebrew writing. The content of the writing has the possibility of providing solid evidence against the claims that Israelites in this period were illiterate.

We’re the Prophecy Watchers. We have a long history of working to bring the truth of Bible prophecy to an audience of Christian believers who may not have local access to sound prophetic teaching, based upon the inspired writings of the Apostles and the traditional doctrine concerning the rapture of the church. Though we don’t believe in setting dates, it is clear that the rapture of the church is imminent, perhaps much nearer than we think.

Unearthed – The Discovery of Joshua’s Altar | The Joshua & Caleb Report

September 3, 2018 – Joshua and Caleb Waller are back with tour guide Aaron Lipkin for this final episode of The Joshua & Caleb Report – Season 4. Accompanied by an Israeli Defense Force escort, they venture up the mountainside of Mount Ebal (the Mount of Cursing). They have come to explore a groundbreaking archaeological discovery that has been unearthed in recent years – the stone altar that Joshua and the children of Israel built when they first entered the Promised Land over 3,200 years ago.

On their trek up to the altar, Aaron shares the incredible story of Adam Zertal, an atheistic professor who led the excavation project and, because of his findings, came to believe in God. Joshua’s altar is now a key site both biblically and historically, and its discovery stands as an undeniable claim for the Jewish people to the heartland of this country.
